1. Acting Workshop - Ben Hodge, Instructor
The acting sessions provide a more concentrated focus on acting in the real world. Participants will prepare and present age-appropriate monologues and scenes for auditions and personal growth. Participants will continue to improve their audition preparation, monologue and scene study and emotional/self-awareness. Participants will also practice cold readings and open-ended character improvisations for further study.
2. Vocal Workshop - Tim Lambert, Instructor
Participants in this workshop will get one-on-one coaching time with a musical theater selection of their choice. We will explore vocal technique and effective delivery in a wide variety of styles. The workshop will also address audition skills, performance anxiety, audition piece selections and other relevant topics for pursuing any opportunities in musical theater. Participants should be prepared to provide their selection and sheet music in advance of the workshop. Mr. Lambert can help in securing sheet music if there is any difficulty. Selections can be from any time period or style.
3. Technical Theatre/Theatrical Design Workshop (TBD) - Michael Hillegas, Instructor
We will focus on the idea, design and construction of the technical aspect of theatre. Showing how we help tell the story through scenery and other design elements.
4. Costuming Basics - Cory Holtzman, Instructor
We will focus on the idea, design and construction of costumes. There will be a specific focus on the basics of sewing skills and working on a project that everyone will be able to take home.
