Staffing for Central York Performing Arts productions are varied and highly collaborative. Our purpose is provide the students of Central York High School with a comprehensive theater program consisting of a variety of productions and types of theater experiences.

NICHOLAS CURRY - Mr. Curry is the Director of Orchestras the Central York High School and Middle School. He also teaches the Advanced Music Theory and Music Production 2 classes. He been collaborating with Mr. Hodge’s Acting classes preparing music and audio cues for class shows since 2007. He directs a children’s summer music camp at Gretna Glen Camp and Retreat Center in Mount Gretna, PA. He’s performed numerous onstage roles in CYHS’s community productions. Mr. Curry’s roles for CYPA include sound design, musical direction, music programming and pit musician.
JESS GEORG - Ms. Georg has been a member of the CYSD art department since 2001 and currently teaches Digital Design to 8th grade students at CYMS. Her first exposure to stagecraft was through a course at Millersville University as an undergraduate and she has been exploring a variety of experiences to learn and develop her knowledge and skills in theater arts ever since. She spent several seasons volunteering as a makeup artist at a local haunted house attraction and enjoys repurposing thrift store finds to create costumes and props. Ms. Georg co-directed the CYMS production of Alice in Zombieland in 2015 and more recently has joined the CYPA creative team for productions including Emma! A Pop Musical and Beauty and the Beast. Ms. Georg collaborates with the team to help plan and execute the costume design and makeup vision for CYPA productions as well as set design/props as needed.

BEN HODGE - Mr. Hodge has been acting and directing for 25 years in a variety of formats. He has directed several productions in York, PA and had his play REACH performed in NYC at an Off-Broadway venue in 2009. Mr. Hodge studied English and Acting at Messiah College and received his Masters in Education from Penn State University. He has trained in Los Angeles with Anthony Meindl and most recently in NYC with Amey Goerlich. Mr. Hodge teaches the Acting and Theater Arts courses at Central York High School. For the past 20 years he has developed an innovative and fresh curriculum for young actors aged 13-24. He is very excited to share his curriculum and philosophy with more Central PA area actors through The Perfect 5th family. Ben is looking forward to training and leading new actors to the realization that acting is a more than just a hobby or pastime: it is an honorable profession and a way of life. Mr. Hodge's roles for CYPA include directing Fall and Spring productions and artistic direction for the Musical.
JIM MARTINI - Mr. Martini is the Director of Bands at Central York High School and also teaches courses in Applied Music, Music Production, Basic Piano, and Advanced Piano. He has served as Musical Director for Pocono Lively Arts community theater company in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; East Stroudsburg Area High School musical productions in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; and Central York High School PAD. Mr. Martini's roles for CYPA include producing, musical direction and conducting. His conducting credits include: Annie, Babes in Toyland, Heidi, Wizard of Oz, The Merry Widow, Oklahoma!, Cinderella, The Music Man, Guys and Dolls, Into the Woods, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Brigadoon, Anything Goes, Wind In The Willows, Children of Eden, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Catch Me If You Can, Disney's Mary Poppins, Les Misérables.
