Staffing for Central York Performing Arts productions are varied and highly collaborative. Our purpose is provide the students of Central York High School with a comprehensive theater program consisting of a variety of productions and types of theater experiences.

NICHOLAS CURRY - Mr. Curry is the Director of Orchestras the Central York High School and Middle School. He also teaches the Advanced Music Theory and Music Production 2 classes. He been collaborating with Mr. Hodge’s Acting classes preparing music and audio cues for class shows since 2007. He directs a children’s summer music camp at Gretna Glen Camp and Retreat Center in Mount Gretna, PA. He’s performed numerous onstage roles in CYHS’s community productions. Mr. Curry’s roles for CYPA include sound design, musical direction, music programming and pit musician.
BECCA GIBBS -
BEN HODGE - Mr. Hodge has been acting and directing for 25 years in a variety of formats. He has directed several productions in York, PA and had his play REACH performed in NYC at an Off-Broadway venue in 2009. Mr. Hodge studied English and Acting at Messiah College and received his Masters in Education from Penn State University. He has trained in Los Angeles with Anthony Meindl and most recently in NYC with Amey Goerlich. Mr. Hodge teaches the Acting and Theater Arts courses at Central York High School. For the past 20 years he has developed an innovative and fresh curriculum for young actors aged 13-24. He is very excited to share his curriculum and philosophy with more Central PA area actors through The Perfect 5th family. Ben is looking forward to training and leading new actors to the realization that acting is a more than just a hobby or pastime: it is an honorable profession and a way of life. Mr. Hodge's roles for CYPA include directing Fall and Spring productions and artistic direction for the Musical.
