Musical Participation & Selection Information
ONLINE REGISTRATION
SCHEDULE - Monday, December 9
5:30 - Audition meeting in the auditorium for all students auditioning. Explanation of procedures and breaking into groups.
5:45-9:30 - Auditions. Students will learn a short dance sequence, sing the selection posted on the CYPA website and participate in an acting/improv exercise.
Note: When you have finished auditioning, you are free to leave. Students may begin arriving at 4:30. Please check in through the band room doors. Please arrive early so we can start on time
PROCESS
Pre-Selection Meeting
There will be three available informational Flex meetings for all students planning to audition, work crew/tech, or play in the pit. These will occur on December 3, 4, & 5. Please sign up and attend one Flex session, “CYPA Pre-Selection Meeting,” with Mr. Martini. Attendance at one Pre-Selection Flex is strongly encouraged.

Callbacks
The callback list will be posted on the bulletin board on Tuesday, December 10. Those called back will be seen for additional reading and singing on Wednesday, December 10. There may be vocal selections and/or sides to prepare. If you are not called back, it does not mean you were not cast in the show. Pick up your sides/music from Mr. Hodge and Mr. Lambert on Tuesday morning.
Posting
The cast selections will be announced via email on Saturday morning, December 14. Each person who auditioned will be notified of their status. The cast list will be posted the following week.
Feedback
Getting feedback on your audition is important. Opportunities will be available for you to receive feedback on what you did well and what you can work on to improve future auditions. Flex sessions will be available after casting notifications are out.
